To elect a Chairman for the meeting.

RESOLVED:

That Cllr Clarke be elected Chairman of the Sub-Committee for this meeting.

To note any declarations of interest made by members in connection with an agenda item.  The nature of the interest must also be specified.

Members are asked to discuss any possible interests with Democratic Services prior to the meeting.

No declarations of interest were made by any member.

At the conclusion of this part of the Agenda, the Chairman of the Sub-Committee will move the following resolution:-

“That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and the Press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Act and the public interest in maintaining the exception outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.”

RESOLVED:

That, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and the press be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 & 2 of Parts 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

To consider whether a driver is a fit and proper person to be granted an NFDC  Dual Drivers’s Licence, under Section 61 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

There is a confidential minute setting out the details of the matter.

RESOLVED:

That the Sub-Committee consider that the application for renewal of a combined hackney carriage and private hire driver’s licence be granted.
