Purpose:
The Cemeteries Regulations require a range of
procedural changes and clarifications, for the benefit of all
service users.
Decision:
On 18 November 2024, Cllr Geoff Blunden, the
Portfolio Holder for Environment and Sustainability made the
following decision:
That the revised Cemeteries Regulations (October 2024) be approved,
to provide clarification and improved procedures.
Any member of the Council, who is not a Portfolio Holder, who
considers that this decision should be reviewed should give notice
using the call-in facility at the top of this page on the
Council’s intranet / extranet site.
Alternatively, notice can be given to the Monitoring Officer (Tanya
Coulter) (in writing or by e-mail) to be received ON OR BY 5.15 pm
on 25 November 2024.
Reasons for the decision:
To bring greater clarity to NFDC’s
requirements for cemetery usage and to ensure that all cemetery
users are treated equally, fairly and safely.
