Purpose:
The report sets out and summarises the main
proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)
and how they could impact on New Forest District Council.
The report also contains, as an appendix, the proposed response to
consultation on changes to the NPPF to be sent under delegated
authority by the Planning and Economy Portfolio Holder.
Decision:
On 16 September 2024, Cllr Derek Tipp, the
Portfolio Holder for Planning and Economy made the following
decision:
That the response as set out in Appendix 1 to this report be
submitted as the New Forest District Council formal response to the
Governments consultation on the revisions to the NPPF.
Any member of the Council, who is not a Portfolio Holder, who
considers that this decision should be reviewed should give notice
using the call-in facility at the top of this page on the
Council’s intranet / extranet site. Alternatively, notice can
be given to the Monitoring Officer (Tanya Coulter) (in writing or
by e-mail) to be received ON OR BY 5.15 pm on 23 September
2024.
