Purpose:
This report presents the Council’s
Disabled Facilities Grant - Financial Assistance policy.
This is a refreshed policy to take into account the latest guidance
and best practice, and also to reflect grant increases due to the
increased costs of works, requiring a more flexible approach to the
award of funding. The proposed Policy is attached at Appendix
1.
Decision:
On 11 September 2023, Cllr Steve Davies, the
Portfolio Holder for Housing and Homelessness made the following
decision:
That the Portfolio holder for Housing and Homelessness approves the
Disabled Facilities Grant - Financial Assistance Policy for
implementation from 18th September 2023 or as soon as reasonably
practicable thereafter.
Any member of the Council, who is not a Portfolio Holder, who
considers that this decision should be reviewed should give notice
using the call-in facility at the top of this page on the
Council’s intranet / extranet site. Alternatively, notice can
be given to the Monitoring Officer (Grainne O’Rourke) (in
writing or by e-mail) to be received ON OR BY 5.15 pm on 18
September 2023.
